Why worry ?

There are many reasons to worry but I have found this saying from Meher Baba most invaluable, so simple,

“Give you worries to me and let me worry for you” , Meher Baba

Worries obscure your connection to God so give them to God and let him look after them. This has been a really helpful way for me to deal with some worry patterns. But you don’t just give your worries to God once, keep doing it and this in its own way also strengthens the link to God.

Over many years I have read many books about Meher Baba and some of his words and found them most helpful.

Worrying is a pattern of the mind, its a form of control and a fear of what may happen in the future. The mind wants to know what happens next and it wants continuity. It wants what it wants and so worrying is created because of this lack of control.

This worrying is very natural and is very difficult to stop. But you can rise above it and use the upper mind to start to see what is going on.

Worries generally attach themselves to events which you fear the most and the worry pattern or the mind uses this to exert itself over you. This is a pattern you can start to learn about how the worry can attach itself to an event and in splitting the event from the worry you can start to gain some sort of understanding of this.

Worries are very persistent and its almost impossible to get rid of them but you can learn to understand them and what they attach to. Sometimes you will find them attach to an event you know is perfectly fine but the worries are so strong they make you check that everything really is okay.

Giving you worries to God on a constant basis also helps this process.

The problem with worry is it blocks out the heart and the light from the upper chakras. This can drain your energy and make it hard to follow the right direction as the guidance from God and energy you receive are both blocked by this spinning mind of worry and numbed heart.

You can also find this energetic worry pattern can be picked up from people close to you physically as you are close to their energy field.

Sometimes you can pick up these worry patterns from people who you are linked with emotionally or family even when they are far away, especially when they are thinking of you.

These worry patterns can be exaggerated when you become tired or out of balance. They can be part of family patterns. These patterns can float to the surface when parts of them are ready to clear or when a death is close in the family.

These worry patterns are so difficult to clear but with God’s help and more awareness of what they are you can reduce their impact.
